Using OneNote 2010?

Trying to create a new notebook on SkyDrive through OneNote and can’t choose “Web” from File | New? Error is “This service is disabled by policy. Contact your system administrator to enable it.”?

  2. the path should be :

if not there the trick is to create WebIntegrationEnabled as DWORD and put 1 in decimal value

  3. I’m having this same problem, problem is, I want to enable it for a non-administrator account. RegEdit will not let you edit if you are not an administrator, if you run as Administrator then it edit’s the Administrator’s Current User

  4. If HKEY_CURRENT_USER is the wrong user, then you must find the correct user within HKEY_USERS to edit their WebIntegrationEnabled key (Google can help you figure this out).

Or log in as that user and elevate regedit to edit the key.

  5. If you “Run As Administrator” then it runs as if you opened it from the account you signed in as, so that doesn’t work. Had not thought of the Users keys, that should work but I just made that account an Administrator, changed that & a few other things, then changed it back. Still the same error. So I uninstalled & reinstalled but upgraded from H&S to Pro+ that I got through work. Error now gone, but instead I got “The security certificate for the server containing the section or notebook is not valid” when trying to open 3 different notebooks from SkyDrive. After a while, after I had already signed in to Live, I started getting the “Disabled by policy” error again. Can still open in OneNote Web & click the [Open in App] button, but then it loads as an empty notebook with the “Security Certificate” error again. I checked the Registry entry & it is still “1” but doesn’t work. Really frustrating.
